Testing with an oral appliance or dental treatment device

Your medical provider may ask you to test with or without your treatment device, or, commonly, to test under both conditions (1-2 nights with and 1-2 nights without). Typically, you should test with your oral appliance or dental device to determine if it is effective. You should test without the device to measure your baseline level of apnea and/or to determine whether you are a candidate for other treatments. If you are unsure of what to do, confirm with your provider.
